WET‘N’WILD WATERPARK COMES TO THE GTA

TORONTO, ON (December 14, 2016) – Premier Parks, LLC, an operator of multiple theme and waterparks across the United States, has acquired the former Wild Water Kingdom and is thrilled to announce Wet‘n’Wild Toronto is coming to the GTA May 2017.
Wet’n’Wild Toronto will invest over twenty-five million dollars in new rides and amenities and bring the latest industry and technology to create a superior guest experience. “We are excited about the opportunity to completely rebuild Wild Water Kingdom into a first-class waterpark that Canadians will be proud to call their own,” said General Manager, Steve Mayer. “Our design teams have been hard at work on substantial enhancements – kids, families and adventure seekers are going to love it.”
Authentically Wet‘n’Wild, distinctly Canadian. For over thirty years the Wet‘n’Wild brand has been known for the biggest and the best water rides in the industry and their first Canadian park is no exception. The park’s revamp includes new major attractions like the Krazy Kanuck family raft ride, a mega treehouse play structure for the kids, and the Wet‘n’Wild Junior mini water park for the little ones, a bowl slide, free fall speed slides, and the Klondike Express mat slide racer. Parents and kids will have a blast experiencing the longest and tallest drop slides in Canada and the World!
Premier Parks operates seventeen theme and waterparks including two resort properties with lodging, marina, and an adventure park. This portfolio also includes Wet‘n’Wild waterparks in Hawaii, Palm Springs, Phoenix and Houston. Premier Parks has familiarity with the Canadian market due to the advertising and sales efforts of its theme and waterpark resort, Darien Lake, just outside Buffalo, NY, which attracts hundreds of thousands of Canadian visitors annually.
